2010 Spring Season Pennant (Jul 09, 2010)

WSBA's Spring Season commences this Monday, 12th July.

We have one extra team in C3 and unfortunately a team has withdrawn from B1 and B2.

The Fixture can be found on the Pennant page and the scoresheets for all grades can be downloaded in Excel from the Pennant/ Pennant Comp. Forms page.

Teams with the bye in the first week are:

I have attached a copy of the Melways Map 55 K10, showing the Williamstown High School venue in Bayview Street Williamstown.

Please note that there are two campuses for Williamstown High – please ensure players go to Bayview Street.

Matches at Williamstown High will have a share court – please ask all players to get to venue at 7:30pm so that all matches can start on time.

Each week the stadium will be prepared by Dan Nguyen who is employed by the Western Suburbs Badminton Association. He will put up nets, sweep courts if necessary, collect money ($29.00 per team), sell shuttles, provide scoresheets and have a small range of drinks/chips/chocolates for sale. He will also pack up nets and posts after the matches.

The school is located in a residential area, so we ask you to pass on to players our commitment to the school that we will endeavour to come and go in a quiet and responsible manner.

A reminder to B2 players – with the change of format to the 6 player teams, matches will be the best of three games to 15. If the score reaches 14 All, a team must win by 2 points. If the score reaches 20 All, the team winning the 21^st point is the game winner.

2010 Swan Hill Veterans (Jun 27, 2010)

The WSBA Sharks played in a combined A/B grade due to lack of team numbers in the higher grades. The team won all their matches against the other B grade teams and drew on games against the runner-up in the A Grade team. A great weekend was had by all - thanks to Dorothy for all her work in organising the team.
