For the first time in many years, WSBA will host a veterans Tournament in July.  A Committee is being formed to assist with this event, if you can help, please contact Ron on 9391 0880 or wsba@bigpond.com .

The 2012 Altona Open & Graded will be held on the 31st March & 1st of April.

Entries are invited for Open, A, B & C Grades.

$1500.00 in prize money will be shared between the winners and runners up in the Open Event.

The CM Wong Trophy together with $300.00 cash, will be presented to the player with the best performance in the Open Grade.

Graded players will receive a trophy for winners and runners up.

Entries close on Friday 16th March.

The 2012 Altona Junior Open Under 11, 15 & 19 will be held on Sunday 4th March. Players should note that this is a Selection Tournament for Under 15 & Under 19 players.

Under 11's will play all three disciplines, Singles, Doubles and Mixed.

Under 15's will play only two disciplines, Singles and Doubles.

Under 19's will play only two disciplines, Singles and Mixed.

The closing date for entries is Friday 16th March.

What a great two days of badminton and friendship!

WSBA would like to thank Kay, our Referee, all players, Managers and Umpires for their commitment to this Carnival. Thanks to Ron, Pat, Alex, Brendan, Marlis, Norma and our cleaners for their contribution, too.

Congratulations to NSW Thunder on their win in the U13  Interstate series and to WSBA Gold who won the Regional Teams Challenge.

Congratulations to the Individual Singles and Doubles winners, David Kang (Vic), Chloe Chen (Vic), David Kang and Eldon Xu (Vic) and Victoria He & Katrina Lowe (NSW).

The Leigh Maartin Sportsmanship Award was won by William Chau (Vic).

The Altona Stadium has re-opened and it has been pretty busy!

Our Under 13 Australian Carnival will be held on Friday 13th (the team event) and Saturday 14th (the individual events) January.

Come and see the best U13s from NSW and Victoria in action.

Our WSBA Autumn Pennant begins on Monday 6th February.
